Earlier this month, Ceton released an update for its InfiniTV Installer software for the InfiniTV 4 multi-tuner PC card that adds an automated driver/firmware updater. Always wanting to test the latest software on my gear, I installed the new Installer and upon completion it warned me that I may have to redo the TV tuner setup in Windows Media Center (Windows 7). Sure enough, I needed to redo the tuner setup, and I immediately encountered an issue where Media Center was no longer properly detecting the InfiniTV 4's tuners. Following the Installer software's suggestion, I used its tuner reset/detection tool that is supposed to assist Media Center when this issue arises.
My first few attempts at clearing the tuner configuration crashed the diagnostic tool, and attempts at redoing the tuner configuration within Media Center failed with tuner #1 (of 4) not being listed. Finally, I tried running the diagnostic tool as administrator...success! I was able to clear the tuner configuration without crashing the app, and the tuner setup in Media Center then proceeded without further issue.
My HTPC is back up and running smoothly, and my once-cherished TiVo Series3 continues to sit in my AV rack in standby mode.

Robert, I enjoy HD Nation and your posts regarding Windows Media Center, etc. I have acquired two XBox 360's, have a new Samsung 46' TV and just received my Ceton Infiniti Card today, having waited months. I plan to install it in a two year old middle of the road PC running Windows 7 Ultimate. I run my business out of the house and have FIOS Business, but am thing to switching to Comcast for home TV, internet and phone to segragate my networks and have a backup internet source.
Are you happy with Comcast? Any words of wisdom with my project.
Thanks,
John
PS.
Pardon the typo, I am thinking of swtching to Comcast for TV via the cable card.
John: Comcast provides my HDTV and internet service and there is no other option I can consider for equivalent picture quality and internet speed. That said, Comcast's service is awesome save for the handful of times over the years that I've been thwarted by a service outage. However, of late, these outages seem to be increasing in frequency.
My experience aside, friends in other areas have nothing but praise for their service.
Each of the 360's could be used as media center extenders for the Ceton-equipped PC...nice!
